Advanced Technology Grids
The PCB Orbital features proprietary Grids made of high purity lead-tin alloy. Combined with the advanced spiral-wound cell design, these durable, corrosion-resistant grids deliver superior performance and durability available only from a maintenance-free, sealed valve-regulated battery.
Patented Glass Mat Separators
Patented glass mat separators optimize the oxygen recombination process, reduce acid stratification, prevent premature paste shedding, and provide cushioning for better vibration resistance. The low internal resistance of the battery allows the PCB Orbital to recharge faster than conventional batteries.
Dual Terminal Design
The PCB Orbital features two sets of terminals. The centered top terminal location enables installation in normal and reverse terminal applications, while the side terminals can be used for the attachments of audio equipment and other special applications.
Fold Away Handles
The PCB Orbital is built with convenient fold-away handles that promote safe handling and convenient installation and removal.
Six-Valve Isolated Cell Design
The PCB Orbital multiple pressure relief valves prevent gasses from escaping under normal operating conditions and prevent air, water, and other impurities from contaminating the battery. The six individual valves allow isolation of the cells for higher reliability, while permitting gasses to escape during overcharge or extreme temperature conditions. And no-free flowing acid can leak through the valves.
Through-the-Partition (TTP) Design
The PCB Orbital patented TTP inter-cell welds provide a shorter current flow compared to "Over-The-Partition" inter-cell welds and less current resistance to deliver more power in a smaller package than conventional batteries.
Extra Heavy Duty Straps
The extra heavy-duty straps of the PCB Orbital create less internal resistance to deliver more power quickly and absorb more current quickly, which leads to quicker recharges.
